Women in hip-hop have had an unprecedented run over the last few years, with the debut of numerous new artists breaking new ground, most notably the Houston Hottie— Megan Pete.

TSU students troubled by Sen. Cruz’s visit to campus – KTSU2

Houston, TX— Texas Southern University Student Government Association representatives were united in opposition to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s visit to the university on Tuesday, Feb. 22, despite the Republican leader’s assertion that he was there to assist the university during a meeting with the school’s new President and hand-selected students.

In a letter posted Monday ahead of the senator’s visit, the SGA referenced the country’s current political climate and other grounds to boycott the meeting.

After a stunning 69-54 victory over No. 20 Florida, Texas Southern University's men's basketball team made SWAC history Monday night.

Numerous lawsuits have been filed against Houston artist Travis Scott and concert organizers in the aftermath of the AstroWorld Festival tragedy, which claimed nine lives and injured many more.

The father of 9-year-old Ezra Blount filed a lawsuit in Harris County Tuesday accusing the rapper, along with entertainment company Live Nation and Scott’s Cactus Jack Production, of “negligent and grossly negligent conduct” following his son being trampled at the festival Friday night.
